The request for quote must be communicated to the engineering and costing staff, with clearly defined deadline and owner. Sales quote request system with built in workflow keeps track of all your request for quotes with all the relevant information. When a request for quote is entered in to the system the engineering and costing department are notified by email of the pending request for quote with the due date. When engineering department is completed the costing department is notified. When the Quote is completed the account manger is notified and the quote is attached.
